I travelled to Goulburn NSW last weekend to attend the opening of 'Wilde in the Country' at South Hill Gallery.
The exhibition is a Mardi Gras event and included artists William Yang, Jim Anderson, Jeffrey Hamilton, John Douglas & others.
The exhibition was curated by Cherry Hood & Steve McLaren and officially opened by Richard Perram (Director Bathurst Regional Gallery).
South Hill Gallery is a wonderful space situated only 2kms from the township of Goulburn and has the most outstanding panoramic view of the area.
Gallery directors Linda & Roland Gumbert are wonderfully hospitable and a coffee is a must when visiting.
Closing the days proceedings was magician Benny O who put on a great performance despite weather interruptions.
That evening, friends Mouse & Tim, took Maxx and myself out to La Casa Italian restaurant where we filled our bellies with delicious and authentic Italian food. Recommended.
We spent the next day touring the Goulburn district looking at the historical buildings, including the War Memorial on Rocky Hill. Maxx came across seed pods from an unidentified plant that will be used in an artwork soon.
