Bundanon was a wonderful experience and I am grateful for my time there. The time flew by quickly and now I find myself back home in the Blue Mountains. Packing up the studio and cottage was not as harrowing as first thought but I felt sorry for the cleaner coming in to spruce up the place; we had a monstrous wind/dust storm which deposited a thin film of dust over everything.
The night before, I was invited over to Julie, Ashley & SooJin's cottage for the last evenings dinner. They made rice stuffed pumpkin and lentil cottage pie. Yum. I will miss the rich bellowing sound of the cows at night, the appearance of 'Womby' the wombat from under my deck at dusk and the peaceful expanse that is the Bundanon property.
Sundays are worth a trip to the Bundanon property if you happen to be near Nowra. Artist Arthur Boyd's studio and home is open to the public and tours are conducted frequently. I was lucky to have a visit from my friend Felicity Jenkins on the Sunday who drove up for a day visit from Sydney. We enjoyed a lazy afternoon looking around the famous artists studio and home. Thanks for the visit Flic!
